Green,won the leadin- flat events, the Cornwall Handicap land the Members' Handicap, on Seatown • and Gold Money respectively, >On the third day of the meeting Green landed another double on those horses when he ■ won the York Handicap on Seatown. anil the Visitors' Handicap on Gold Money. - Green will again ride Seatown and. Gold Money in their engagements at' Ellerslie " .this winter, aud, though he might not have the same success as last year, he will ' be-riding horses that will only-require to be in form to have excellent prospects of success. ■ ' Northerners to the Fore. Auckland/jockeys were well in the limelight in the jumping races at Hawera, where no fewer than four of them rodß a winner. On the first day*J. Smith won the Tongahoe Hurdles on Whenuanui, F. Foster was on the runner-up, Glenstar, and L. Dulieu wag on the third :'horse, Royal Acre, while H. Dulieu won the Hack Steeplechase on Waituunaha and was third on Airtight, in .the Egniont Steeplechase. On the second day L. Dulieu won the Manawapou Hurdles on' Koyal Acre and F. Foster was again on the second horse, Glcnstar. , Foster also won.the Adamson Steeplechase on Aurora Borealis and H.'-Dulieii was th.ird on Air- „ tight. Another Auckland rider- in H. : Wiggins 'went' close to. gaining some success afc the meeting, as ho rode three seconds aud two thirds in fiat events. '■■■■' Pomp to Work Again. Mask has been retired from the Tm'f and his place in' Walter Kayner's stable has been taken by the two-year-old Pomp. Pomp was so badly injured on. the trip from Sydney after his defeat in the Breeders 7 Plate at Eandwick J thatemail hopes 'were entertained of his ever racing again. He has gone on right enough, N trot it is too much to expect that he will be fit to race until:next season is fairly well advanced. ' ' :
