WOMEN'S "BUSH LIGHT"
The Leaguo of Women Helpers of Toe II in Wellington, commonly known as "Toe Emmas," held a very interesting ceremony recently, when the first women's "Rush Light" in New Zealand was dedicated ill the Toe II Room in ..Wakefiold Chambers, before a largo circle oJ; friends, and members of' Toe II and L.W.11. Dr. Bowerbank (chairman of Too II in Wellington) was to have presented tho "Light," but unfortunately was prevented by illness, and in his absence Mr. Silver, Pilot of Toe H, made the presentation in a very beautiful and impressive service-. The "Rush Light" was received by the chairwoman of L.W.H., and. tlie Rev. Mr. Patchett, their' padre, read a group of Toe II prayers, and (ater gave an inspiring address on the privileges and responsibilities which .'constituto the standards of both Toe II and L.W.H., by striving to keep burning tho Lamp of Service and , Sacrifice kindled by the Elder Brethren. Mr. Clarke also read a deeply interesting report of a recent combined service on Anzae night of Toe H and tho R.S.A. in the Cathedral, Christchureh, organised by Padre Williams, when the Lamp of the Christchureh branch was dedicated. Tho latter part of the evening was of a social nature, and supper, with family prayers by Padre Patchett, brought a very happy " evening to a close.
