FROZEN MEAT IN JOINTS.
'"The Post's" London correspondent reports, London 3rd April, that experiments are now being made by the meat packing companies in America with a new rapid freezing process for treating joints and pieces of meat, whereby it is expected that meat, quick frozen, wrapped in transparent paper, may be marketed direct overseas' from the works to the consumer. "This week in Smithfield Messrs. Swift and Co. are making a display of x such forms of rapid frozen meat, frozen and attractively wrapped on the other aide of the Atlantic, all ready for direct conveyance to the consumer. Without a doubt, the meat retailer of Britain has to keep his eyes open, so quickly is.progress ■proceeding in his industry."
