TWO MEN ARRESTED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMEESTON N., This Day. At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, an American named Nelson Watts, aged 25, and Thomas Mebrose, aged 19, were charged with breaking and entering the premises of Thomas Ireton, jeweller, Cuba street, with intent to commit a crime. They were remanded until Wednesday.

'-The men were arrested as the result of a motorist, when passing Mr. Ireton's shop at half-past one on Saturday morning, hearing the crashing of glass and seeing two men run under a verandah. He drove to the police station and brought back with him two constables, who arrested the two men.
