SOUTH ISLAND MEETING. ,4\•■ ■ ■ ' . (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, 18th April. The South Island championship -rifle meeting was opened on Vernon Range today under perfect conditions. Except for the prize-winners, the shooting was mediocre. Three matches were finished to-day and a start made with the service matches, which will be continued on Saturday.
