ANTICIPATING THE ACT RUSH ALL OVER INDIA (Beceived 28th March, 10 a.m.) DELHI, 27th March. Hundreds of thousands of boys and girls, mostly of the Hindu caste, many still in the cradle, are being married throughout India during the last/few days in order to pvade the provisions of the Indian ; Child Marriage Act, which comes into operation on Tuesday next. The Act raises the marriage age to 14 years and the age of consent to 16. Most of the brides and bridegrooms are between 9 and 12, but instances are reported from the Bombay district where girls a few days old have been married, in some cases to men' twenty years their senior. . •
