WELLINGTON COLLEGE GARDEN PARTY.
The grounds at Wellington College are splendidly adapted for such a social function as a garden . party, and when five marquees are erected, and games and competitions such as golf putting, archery, in progress, there should be quite a festive tennis, swimming, and cricket are also scene on Saturday afternoon. It is hoped that all guests and visitors will arrive before 2.30 p.m., when the Mayor, who will be accompanied by the Mayoress, is to perform the opening function. Prior to the physical display to be given at 3.15 p.m., Her Excellency, Lady Bledisloe, and party are expected to arrive. Stalls will be open for business from 2 p.m. and the afternoon-tea room at 2.50 p.m. Novelty events will be given iv the baths and the tennis and cricket will be in progress. The new school gymnasium has been handsomely decorated for the cabaret dance, which will commence at 7.45 p.m. The proceeds are in aid o£ ground improvements.
