VERY LOW LIMITS

AUCKLAND WOOL SALE

AVERAGE OF 6D TO 7D PER POUND

1 (By Telegraph.— i'ceta Association.) . AUCKLAND, This Day. The wool buyers' limits for the third Auckland sale to-day of a catalogue of 15,701 bales were fixed at the lowest level known in New Zealand for many years. The first bid for a line of crossbred fleece wool was sd, and that lot was knocked down at bVzd: Bidding was fairly steady at the lower levels, and fairly keen when a large line or one of exceptional quality was offered. At a very rough average fleece wools seem to be ranging from Gd to 7d, as against the average in February, 1929, of 12 2-3 d. A feature was the .comparatively small proportion passed in. Some big station lots were withdrawn before the sale commenced, but of the catalogue submitted the bulk was disposed of. The quality of the wool was fairly rough.
