CONCERT FOR AMBULANCE

A committee of Paraparaumu residents, under the chairmanship of Mr. A. Hardham, arranged a concert for the City Ambulance on Wednesday. An excellent programme was arranged. Items were Riven by the following;— The school children, under Mrs. Brazier; the Paraparaumu branch of the Women's Institute; Mr. B. Lynch. Paekakariki; Miss Woods, Wanganui: Misses Ghilds and Biggs, Wellington; Messrs. Brockeushire, O'fehea, Skeddon, and Philpott, Wellington. Mr. Eoffe, superintendent of the ambulance, addressed the audierice during the interval. The concert was the most successful ever held in the township, and the ambulance will beneiit to. the extent of over £32.
