COMPLAINTS ABOUT • CRICKETERS

Mr. J. W. Longman presided over the quarterly meeting of the- Hutt Park Committee lust night. Tlio Wellington Football Association and the AVcllington Kugby Football -Union applied for the use of playing grounds at the Park. - As-thc grounds arc not yet in a fit condition for play a small committee was appointed. to act in the matter when necessary. Complaints of the conduct of cricket players on the Park were made by the Waiwlievu Golf Club. It was alleged that the- cricketers were addicted to drinking and the use of bad language, and frequently inconvenienced golfers by encroaching on the fairway. The committee decided to obtain a report from the caretaker for consideration by the chairman and secretary, who could take any suitable action.
