ROYAL INVESTITURE

RUG-BY, 6th March. The King held a second investiture at Buckingham Palace to-day. The investiture, in contrast to the official one on Tuesday, was private, and morning dress was wor£. The nuiety recipients of honours and decorations were drawn from all ranks of life, and included a miner and seamen. The King presented nine medals for gallantry in saving life at sea. Some of these were in connection with the rescues from ships in distress during the tempestuous gales of last year.
