SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Every efl'ort was made by the hostess, Miss y. Boesley, to ensure the comfort of her guests at the Thursday concert at the Sailors' Friend Society, and many pleasing items were rendered and encored. The performers were Mesdames Reeves and Miller, Misses Roache, V. Boesley, Laurel Duff, and Messrs. H. Matthews and Appleby. Miss V. Boesley was at the piano. Light refreshments were dispensed in an interval. The competitions afforded much pleasure to the audience. The prizes, from Hastings, went to the Port Victor, Raranga, and Tamaroa.
