ATTEMPT TO DERAIL TEAM

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") . DUNEDIN, This Day. An attempt to derail the Mornington cable tram' was made on Wednesday night. When a car which left tho city at 9.40 reached Queen's Drive the gripman noticed an obstruction on the line, and was just ablo to stop his car as ir touched the object. It was found that a steel kerb crossing sft long, 2ft wide, and 3-Bin thick, had been placed o. its edge in the grip slot of the line, and in order to take tho plate out the car had to be jacked up. The police aj:e making inquiries.
