"LOOKING FOR A CHAP"
"I went there to look for a chap," said Charles Edward Hills, alias Charles Edward Bqyles, aged 42, when' charged _in the Magistrate's Court to-day with being found unlawfully in the grounds of Mount Cook Infant School.
Sub-Inspector Lander said that the Mount Cook police had been asked to keep an eye on these grounds. ..The accused was found there last night, and-said he was trying to get into the Salvation Army Home, but apparently he was trying to get in without the knowledge of the authorities. '"The accused had six previous convictions. He had no money, and smelt of methylated spirits. He was a labourer and admitted that he had been sleeping out," concluded the Sub-In-spector. • ■ . ■
Mr. E. Page, S.M., sentenced Hills to one month's imprisonment.
