ON THE SPEEDWAY
With the benefit of Saturday night's experience on the track at the Kilbirnie istadmm Speedway, Miss Fay Taylour, England's well-known lady motor-cyclist, should be able to register some fine performances on 'Wednesday night, when a special meeting is to be held at the Stadium. This mid-week meeting, has been arranged in view of the fact that Miss Taylour is paying only a brief visit to Wellington.. She will appear in another match race on Wednesday night, this time having the wmuer of the Silver Gauntlet A 1 hilhps, ■as her opponent. Phillips • has been showing such fine form that Jliaa laylour will, have to be at her best to win. Another outstanding event will be w 6,, teesJ ov. the New Zealand champion, Wally Ivilmistei-, m a series oE races with the noted Australians, Arthur Mann and h. Van Prang. This will give Kilmister Ins opportunity of getting right back to form. Among oilier events will, be attempts to lower the one-lap record tor the track. All the leading competitors, including Miss Taylour, -will -■ bo ■ taking part in the open handicap. It is expected thiit the racing will be very exciting and the broadsiding displays of high order.
