UNITED DISCONENT
-I am, etc., I SEMPER FIDELIS 15th January.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —May I remind those discontented members of the United Party that they; were quite content before the last elee« tion to have Sir. Joseph Ward as theie leader. Further, let me point out, to any one of them who is not satisfied that he is open to resign; for, as Sir Joseph was the chosen leader of the United Party, the majority of the electors voted ■ for United candidates on that account. H is doubtful whether the United candi« dates would have been so well supported had any other than Sir Joseph Ward been.' at the head of the party. No unit of the United Party need flatter himself on hia victory, unless he recognises Sir Joseph Ward's popularity. While Sir Joseph is with us as hea<| of the Government, all due consideration should be paid to him during his unfor« tunate ill-health. There should be Ao backsliding by any member of the United Party. If any member is not fatisnedi let him resign and come forward at a N future election, as long as be is sure of his leader first.—
