WOOL AND MEAT PRICES.
' The Bank of ■ New South Wales has to-day received the following cable message from its London office, dated 3rd January:—■
"Wool: Quiet, awaiting reopening sales. "Mutton: Ewes, 4%d to 5Md; trade rather better, values improving. Wethers: 5%d to 7d; prices hardened owing smaller supplies. Lamb, 9%d to lid; poor demand, expect decline. Beef, 4%d to 7d, good demand. Pork, lOd to lid."
