MESSAGES EXCHANGED CO-OPERATION IN PEACE British Official Wireless. (Received Cth January, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, sth January. Kiug George and President Hoover, in greetings exchanged at the New Year, refer to the hope that 1930 will see the advancement of thu causo of naval disarmament. The King telegraphed:— At tho commencement of a New Year so full of promise for the advancement of world peace by naval disarmament, it affords me particular pleasure to offer you my most cordial greetings, together with my best wishes for your happiness and welfare, and for the prosperity of tho United States of America. President Hoover replied: — I am happy to receive Your Majesty's message of New Year wishes. Tho resolve to advance world peace by mutual goodwill and by the limitation of naval armaments -is the earnest purpose of British and American peoples and Governments, and it is my hope, and it will be the endeavour of the American Government to see that this great object is attained during the year which has just commenced. I also desire •to reciprocate all Your Majesty's good wishes for the New Year."
