AN IMPROVED TONE

Private cablegrams giving information of the opening of the London November sales are as under, and are all dated London, 19th November:—

The Bank of .New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from its London office:- "The sales have opened with strong competition and large attendance of buyers. There is a good demand for all kinds of wool. Compared with the close of last series, crossbred wools are %d per 1b higher. Greasy merino is not represented. ■ Slipes and scoured wool on average are practically unchanged."
