FINE WOOLS IMPROVE

LONDON, 19th November. The total offering at the wool sales today was 11,809 bales, of which 3449 were New Zealand. , There was an excellent selection and a large attendance of buyers. Competition was animated, and there were a" few withdrawals.
Prices, as compared with October closing rates, showed merinos, rine Continental sorts, 5 per cent, dearer;'long broad-haired wools, 10 per cent, up; crossbreds, fine, IVi per cent, dearer; medium to low at par to 5 per cent. Slipes, lower grades, were about 5 per cent, dearer, but the finer sorts were Jinn and unchanged.
