SENTENCED FOR CRIME

' CHBISTCHUECH, This Day. In the Supreme Court prisoners were sentenced to-day by Mr. Justice Adams as follows:—Robert Dixon Warden, housebreaking, two years on each of three charges, cumulative; Eussell George M 'Carthy, common, assault on a woman in the Empire Hotel, three months; Maurice William Baker, bigamy, eighteen months; Ernest Gray Roach, forgery, reformative detention not exceeding twelve months; James Lindland Anderson and Maurice Haniiltin Gregory, burglary (five charges), four years' Borstal.
Charles Wright, for forgery under the Electrical Wiromon's Act, was admitted to probation for one year, and to pay the costs, £5 ss. Boyce Meers Wilson, for forgery of his stepfather's u.ime to a cheque, was admitted to two years' probation. James Trevarton Fletcher, for interfering with a girl between 12 and 16 years, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
