MAJESTIC THEATRE.
, When "Broadway' Babies," the all-talking, singing, and dancing picture that stars Alice White, arrived at the Majestic Theatre to-day, it brought a .wealth «f song hits and musical numbers out of the West. "Broadway Baby Dolls," the theme song of "Broadway Babies," Is-looked upon as a certain favourite. It is sung by Miss White in-the big theatre scenes of this story of back-stage life on the Main Stem. A snappy dance number is "Jig, Jig, Jigaloo," with 'a novelty chorus effect that is also led by Miss White. A third melody that is certain to find favour is "Wishing and WaitIng for Lovp," which Miss White sings in the nightl club sequences. "Broadway Babies" is adapted from Jay Galzer's story of threo young hoofers, entitled "Broadway Musketeers." It was directed by Mervyn Le Roy, and Sally Eilers and Marion "Peanuts" Byron play tho other chorines. Charles Delaney plays opposite the star, and a big cast Is seen in support or Miss White. This star has never been on the stage, yet she has developed into one of the best for the musical comedy type of pictures that has appeared on the Hollywood horizon since the advent of sound films.
