Grant-Dalton, D.5.0., A.F.C., who gave an interesting address on Aviation and its Growing Importance to Commerce." Wing-Commander Grant-Dalton dealt with tho increasing part that air transport, both for passengers and goods, is playing in commerce and also referred to to-morrow's air pageant at the Miramar Air Port; which will give visible evidence in regard to the substantial progress made in aviation matters in tho past few years. T! !C Wing-Commandor has come from a distinguished war career in the Royal Air lorce to take up his duties as Director of Air Services and Director of Uvil Aviation in New Zealand. Mr. Mwin Salmon (president of the chamber) presided over a large attendance. Apologies for non-attendance were received from the Hon-. T. M. Wilford CMimster of Defence), the Mayor (Mr 0.. A. Troup), and Mr. T. C. Hislop (president of the Wellington Aero Uub). Among those present were Mr. Lambie (Deputy British Trade Commissioner), Messrs. Kimbel and Black (of tho American Trade Commissioner's Office), Mr. W..L Martin, of Sydney, and Mr. M< Arthur (secretary to the Wellington Aero Club).
