MAJESTIC THEATRE.

Should a wife risk her honour to further her husband's ambitions? this is the question around which is built the story of "Careers " the new Blllle Dove all-talking picture, which is now being screened at the Majestic Theatre. The supporting cast is of merit, including Antonio Moreno, Noah Beery, Carmel Myers; Thelma Todd, Robert Frazer, Sojin, and Count Andre de Segurola, the famous opera singer, who sings a number in French. Victor Duval a young French Magistrate In a small town In CochinChina, annoyed as not having received the promotion he thinks ho is entitled to, decides to go over the head of the president of the colony, and complain to the Governor. In tho meantime, his beautiful wife, Helene, cannot understand why her brilliant husband has not been promoted, but is enlightened by Carouge, a prominent attorney from Paris, who tells her that less gifted men have been promoted simply because their wives knew how to make themselves agreeable to the president. Helena calls on tho president, who makes violent love to her, but here a native musician, who has been hiding in the apartment waiting for an opportunity to steal. Is discovered, and In tho ensuing combat the president is killed. The burglar then attacks the beautiful Helene, who, however, stabs him with a dagger. Duval and Helene leave for Paris. Miss Billie Dove has a perfect speaking voice. The talking supports were all of more than average merit. Tho big list of attractions will be shown daily at 11 a.m., 2.15 p.m.. and-S p.m.

A chorus of fifty dancing girls is seen in the musical comedy scenes with Miss White, and the splendid orchestra provided the music. The picture tells of the portrays one, and the others are played by Sally Eilers and Marion "Peanuts" . Byron. Charles Delaney Is seen opposite the 3tar. "Broadway Babies" was directed by Merwn le Roy, a graduate of the musical comedy and vaudeville stage, who was ideally fitted for handling the megaphone on this story of theatrical life.
