2500 MEN STOP WORK

GREYMOUTH, This Day
This morning about 2500 men were* idle. The State miners are not working to-day. They have officially joined in the strike. The co-operative parties are so far unaffected. The Grey Power Board has supplies of coal sufficient for a month. The general local opinion predicts an early settlement.
