MAN FOUND DEAD

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CIIRISTCHURCH, This Day At 10.30 a.m. to-day, Albert Victor Clements, aged 32, married man with five children, .was found dead in circumstances pointing to suicide. The deceased until recently had resided at 22, Holly road, and was concerned in an inquiry on Thursday into the outbreak of fire in his house.

Since the fire decoased has been staying with relatives. He was missed last evening, and it was thought that he had gone to a house in. 79, Glandovv road, Fendalton, which- he owned but did not occupy. . A constable went to the house this morning and searched every room without-finding any trace of Clements. It was then noticed that the washhouse door was locked from the inside. The police broke into the building and found the deceased lying on his back with his head against a gas pipe from which gas was escaping.
