CHEISTCHUKCH, This Day
Conditions were very pleasant- for training operations at Eiecarton. this morning. Number six grass track- provided good going, but it . was at its fastest for the later workers. There was nothing in the work of an outstanding nkture, but some useful. gallops were registered by horses with engagements at the Dunedin Meeting next week. ,
Hoy lake worked on the plough, doing lmin 22sec for sis furlongs. Prickles' also worked on the plough, but was going comfortably all the way.
i The Geisha sprinted half a mile in 51 4-ssec, without doing her best, while Spoon was Under a pull all through, a five furlong gallop. ■ • ■
Dutch Money and Honeycomb were companions over seven furlongs, which they covered in lmin 31 l-ssec. Dutch Money was going the' better of the pair at the finish. .' •■'.•■•
■Disorder broke away at the mile post, Straight Course joining -her for the last half. Disorder was well clear of her mate at the finish, after running the journey in lmin 42'2-ssec. She finished well, and it was an attractive performance., .
Chide and Mem-isant were associated over.a mile. They got to the end of their task in lmin 42 4-ssec. and finished together. It was a useful performance, and both horses should race well at the Dunedin Meeting. Desert Song and Comique ran six furlongs in lmin 20 l-ssec. doing the first three in 39see. but slowing down, over the last half of the journey. Pull Feather beat Semper Paratus by half a length over six furlongs in lmin 16 '2-ssec, Stately equalling that time by herself. '-
The two-year-61ds, Sleipnir, Tarquinius, and Pharaoh were companions in a three furlongs sprint. Sleipnir showed .most speed, but Pharaoh beat him home in 36 2-sseis. with Tarquinius third. Sleipnir has a lot of speed, but Pharaoh shapes like running on. Malmsey covered six furlongs comfortably in lmin 18 2-ssec.
Subdivision occupied lmin 7sec in an easy run over five furlongs, while his stablemate, Satisfy, sprinted three longs comfortably in 40 4-osec.
Silver Coot ran five furlongs in lmin 6sec without doing his best, and Don Jose covered six furlongs easily in 1 mm 22 2-ssee. •• ' ...
Haulage went about half a mile, taking 38 4-ssec for the last three furlongs. - . '
Louise was under a pull all through a run over half a mile.
Aberfeldy (Tilson) and Gala Day (Peart) gave a good.exhibition in a school over two hurdles.
Kate Kelly (W. Bartle) was given a run over two hurdles. She performed very well, but had the misfortune to overreach at the second hurdle, cutting one of her tendons. ■'. . -
Pajer Boy and Twang were going comfortably all through a five-furlong spin in lmin 7 4-55.cc..-.
The two-year-old Tray Bond showed brilliant speed- while sprinting three furlongs .in'3s-.1-ss.ee".-■.-.■■ . ■':■'
After Ten (L. Evans) was sent twice over two. hurdles along the back, giving a good display. ....:■
Silver Paper and Aspiring wero-com-panions in a five-furlong gallop. The pair showed great speed from the start and completed their task in lmin 2 1-5 sec. Silver Paper was going particularly well at the finish, while Aspiring also pleased greatly, as she was running on well.
Money Order and Eapier broke away at the six-furlong post. Money Order wont out with his customary brilliancy, and soon opened out a gap of two lengths. Eapier closed on him when the straight was reached, but Money Order came on again to win decisively in lmin 15 4-ssec. It was a smart gallop, and Money Order pleased greatly by the stylo in which he completed his task. • ...
Tariff was responsible for an attractive gallop over six furlongs. He started oft" two lengths in front of Topere, and beat Ms inato by a long gap at the finish. L Count Cavour started off to run a mile by himself. He moved along at a sound pace, but after he had gone about three furlongs Te Awhina broke away behind him for a five-furlong gallop, while Safely, who was to assist Te Awhina, joined in at the half-mile post. Count Cavour was two lengths behind the other pair at the entrance to the straight, but ho gradually overhauled them, finishing a neck" in front. Hid time for the mile was lmin 43 4-ssee] while Te Awhina registered lmin 2 3-5 see for her five furlongs' gallop. Count Cavour finished on in good style, and his effort was very pleasing. Eed Heckle and Flair reeled off five furlongs in lmin 3sec.i Ked Heckle was going comfortably over the last furlong of an attractive gallop. Proud Knight covered six furlongs comfortably in lmin 18 3-ssee,. while Amorist was going easily over the same ground in lmin 20sec. /
The Tractor—Moulin Rouge two-year-old registered 3Gsec for three furlongs, and appeared to do it comfortably at the end. ' . vOoupling and Thurso were given a working gallop over six furlongs.
