AFTERMATH OF STRIKE
THOUSAND WORKERS STILL IDLE

SYDNEY, This Day. Officials of the Disputes Committee told a mass meeting of timber workers, who are ; out of employment as the result of the strike, that they would have to accept a 48-hour week if they desired reinstatement.
The meeting instructed the committee to press for a settlement with the timber merchants on whatever terms they could make.
It is estimated that over a thousand workers are idle as the result of the stoppage. ]
