EMPIRE THEATRE, ISLAND BAY.
The programme at the Empire Theatre is an excellent one. The main attraction is Lon Chaney's latest production, "West of Zanzibar." The play Is a gripping story of a terrible revenge, laid in the wilds of an African jungle. Chancy appears as a crippled exmagician who, by hlii determination, and aided by the tricks and illusions with which he holds his sway over the savage native hordes, trails his enemy relentlessly through many terrors to final destruction. The ■ supporting cast includes Lionel Barrymorc. Mary Nolan. Warner Baxter, and Ralla Pasha. The-sup-, porting picture is "Knight of Nights," a First National special with an all-star cast. The minor attractions include a Hal Roach comedy and a, newsreel.
