A passer-by saw the predicament that the trainer was in,, and beat the stallion about the head, but it was some time before he could make him release his grrp ; When beaten off he still had a piece of Plaxico's apparel in his mouth, and reared ana shook the clothing savagely. Medical assistance was quickly secured, and Plaxico's injuries were attended to. They are not regarded as dangerous. Silk .Thread has been a very successful performer, ana he has given Plaxico the two wins he has gained since coming to New Zealand.
