TAYLOR OUTPOINTS HURNE

- .AUCKLAND, 3rd June. Two professional ten-rounds boxing contests for purses of £75. each were staged at the Town Hall to-night. In the first, Matt Hatton (Auckland) de. feated Joe Boyle (Australia) on points, after the bout had gone the full distance. It was a poor exhibition,- the referee having twice to warn the contestants to fight. In the second contest Frank Taylor (Auckland) defeated Cyril Hume (Wellington) on points. This was a bright exhibition from start to finish, and Hurne did well for his first apearance in a professional ring; -
