The Auckland, Otaki, and Dunedin winter meetings were continued yesterday, and trots were held at Ghristchurch and Hastings. The Great ;Northern Steeplechase was w6n by. an outsider in Uralla with Roman Abbey inthe second place. Lucy Rose won the King George Handicap. Bright Land led the field home in the Remuera Hurdles. The favourite, Paitonu scored in theyTa Timi Memorial Stakes at Otaki; and Consent was the;best :bf the sprinters. The Otago Hurdles felt. to.Lance arid the. Steeplechase'to Mainspring.
