Eggs labelled "new laid" were selling retail in the city on Saturday at from 2s 4d to 2s Bd. With a fall in 1 prices from 3s to 3s 3d, the. demand was stimulated. The Canterbury Co-operative Poultry Producers, Ltd., report that prices per dozen for the. last: week were:—First-grade hen eggs 2s 2d, second-grade hen egfjs and ™ eggs ,2s; pullet eggs. Is 9d. Messrs. Macfarlane and Co., Ltd* Christchurch, quote the following prices per dozen:l— First-grade hen eggs 2s to 2s 2d, second grade Is 9d to.ls lOd, duck eggs is.lOd to 3s.
