According to a statement" made to the police by a night watchman, incendiarism "is suspected as the cause of a fire which did about £30,000 worth of damage at the timber mill of Millars Timber and Trading Company in South Melbourne early this morning. Drenching rain aided the firemen. ' Police motor-cycle patrols, just before - the fire, made'an inspection of the yards.
