FOXT.ON,. 26th April

Tho Hon. T. M.. Wilford (Minister of Defence) paid a brief visit to Foxton and met a deputation asking for tho use of the vacant site on the Courthouse section for the erection of Plunkct rooms. Mr. Wilford said that he would give his decision when the plans wei'c submitted of the proposed building. A request was mado that tho military camps be. again located at JTnxton. This will receive the consideration of the Minister.. Mr. Wilford was motored to the seaside to inspect the lp'vel area suitable for -an aeroplane landing ground. He was favourably impressed with the locality, and promised to send exports to inspect and report. Lieutenants Mercer and Climio arrived by a nloth aeroplane last night from Christchurch, aud this morning proceeded to Fcilding and Hawkes Bay.
