QUEEN'S THEATRE.
Victor M'Laglen, whose work in "What Price C.lory?" "A Girl in Every Port," "Loves of Carmen,"- and other big pictures has earned him universal favour, again makes a direct appeal in "Captain Lash," which is m»w being screened at tho Queen's Theatre. A Fox production, "Captain Lash," is a picture with air tho romance and adventure of the sailor's life brought out to thrill and entertain those who see It. M'Laglen plays tho name part as tho fifth engineer on an ocean liner, who has earned the sobriquet through his powers of driving Iho stokers. Two-flsted, hard-bitten sailor, though he is, ho is not proof against tho wiles of an adventuress who is in league with a gang which plans to sjeal a quantity of jewels belonging to a passenger. Captain Lash becomes tlio tool oJ the gang, and only realises his mistake when' the vessel readies Singapore. Then he shows ,what,.a real sailor can do to regain his self-respect,: and there Is a smashing climax. Claire Windsor'heads tho- strong, sup-' porting cast. Also on the- bill arc a newsreol and. a further, instalment of the thrilling serial "Tarzan. the Mighty." -• Attractive music is playedby the Queen's Orchestra. .
