PORT NICHOLSON BAND.

A splendid concert is to bo given by the Port Nicholson Band at the Grand Opera House to-morrow evening. Miss Una Rapley a soprano from Gisborne, will bo heard to advantage in the "Valse Song" (from "La Boheme"). Dorrle and Laurie will bo heard In the duet "Good Little Boy." Mr. James Osborne, the popular tenor, will sing "Sonny Boy." Mr. W. W. Marshall will* give "Kin" of the Vasty Deep." Mr. Laurie Sweetapplo will slug "Life's Story," and tho Melodic Four will bo heard in' the "Soldier's Chorus" (from Faust"), and other items from their repertoire. Mr. Frank E. Crowtlicr will act as accompanist. Tlio band items have been carefully selected, and includo the hymn, "Nearer My God to Ihee"; overture, "Poet and Peasant"; a seletion from Gounod's "Faust"; intermezzo, Jn a Monastery Garden," and the stirring marches "Etholios" and "The Mad Major." All tastes . have been catered for with such a varied programme. Tatrons are notified that season cards are now available, and may bo obtained by making application to J. J. Drew, Box 11S8.
