WOMEN TO BLAME
HUSBANDS WHO ARE DESERTED.

LONDON, 12th April.
"I think that the women are mostly to blame, as in most cases' of this kind," said Mr. Justice Hill in granting Lieutenant Vernon Malhews a, decree nisi and £200 damages as a> result of his wife's misconduct with a fellow-officer, iCaptain Thomas Grylls. The parties met at Alexandria. The wife went to London, and later was joined by Grylls. Both went to New Zealand, where they, aro residing.
Mr. Justice Hill remarked that the fact, of-a woman going off with another man proved that she was worthlets. . One was tempted sometimes to think that i there, might be 1 a ; counterclaim by the other man for having saved the husband from such a woman, but the law did not go quite to that extent. Anyway, it would not be. true in, this, case, as ,Grylls took all the blame, but that might have been duo partly to gallantry. ' .;..-.».
