LIMERICK TURNS TABLES ON WINALOT
BRIGHT GLOW ' AND GAY 'BALLERINA AT - ELLERSLIE
The Easier racing carnival opened on Saturday. At the Auckland Racing Club's Meeting Bright Glow won the principal handicap, Gay Ballerina the Champagne Stakes, and Prodice the Oaks. Limerick showed his best form in winning the Autumn Stakes at Randwick, and Honour led the field home in the Sires' Produce Stakes. Paquitb won the second division of the Lightweight Handicap. Star Area and The Raider were successful at Feilding, and at Tauherenikau The Swell and rVliss Ransom annexed the principal events. The Riverton Gold Cup was won by Wingatui. At"the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting King Pointer was successful in the Easter Handicap, and Linkman won the Hawera Trotting Cup.
