MATCHES FOR EASTER
A big programme of- cricket matches is to be carried out during the Easter holiday period. Several local teams are to play away from Wellington, and there will be a number oi' teams coming to Wellington for matches. A team, arranged by Mr. H. M. M'Girr, is to play matches in the Hangitikei district,,where the local players will be strengthened by the inclusion of A. P. F. Chapman, R. H. Bettington, and T. C. Lowry. Another Wellington team, arranged by Mr. A. Doneglme, is to meet. a Wairarapa representative team at Mastcrton on Saturday and Monday. Levin is to be visited by a Wellington junior team. Other Wellington tennis going on tour are: University (to play in Auckland), Wellington (to play, in Clu'istcliurch), Marist (to play in Blenheim), Stop Out (to play in Christchurch), and Technical .College Old Boys (to play in Wanganui). Among the matches to be played in Wellington are the following:— Hastings v. Wellington junior representatives, at the Basin Keservo, on Saturday and-Monday, play commencing at 10.30 a.m. each day; Mercantile League v. Wellington juniors,, at the Basin Reserve, on Saturday and Monday,- commencing at 10.30 a.m.; a Levin team v. a Wellington team, at Kelburn Park on Monday; third A and third B, representatives v. the Secondary Schools (intermediate), first and second elevens, at Kilbirnie on Saturday, commencing at 1 p.m.; secondary schools' (intermediate) third eleven v. Saturday morning representatives, at Kilbirnie, on Saturday, commencing at 1 p.m.; Nelson^Druids v. Wellington Druids, at Kilbirnie, on Saturday, commencing at 9.30 a.m.; and Hutt v. Petone, on Saturday, commencing at 10.30 a.m. Representatives of the Wellington and Christehurch Gas Companies are to play a match at Hagley Park,. Christchurcli, on Saturday and Monday. The Christchurch Press representatives are leaving for Wellington to-night to play the Wellington Press representatives at the Basin Reserve. '
