"FOLLOW THE PRINCE"
FLOCK HOUSE POINTS WAY
(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, sth February.
A call to tho nation on behalf of the miners is made by Mr. James Douglas, the editor of tho "Sunday Express." In his concluding paragraphs ho cites the action of tho New Zealand sheepowners in instituting the Flock House scheme as an example to follow.
"Flock House- is hardly known in this country," ho says. "The example of New Zealand is superb. There should bo Flock Houses all over tho Empire financed by our war profiteers. Tho stout New Zealand farmers are mou of mottle, with pride and grati(.ndo in. (heir blood.
"I hold up little. Now Zealand as :i pattern to ourselves and to all our Dominions and Dependencies. I have set:)) the boys going out to Hock House from the Polytechnic with' no great ones to soo them off or to blow trumpets for Iho plain New Zealand farmers who have paid their dept to tho Navy and the merchant service without whimporing for a halo of publicity. "Let us stir out stumps without 'pasing the buck' to our wearied party politicians, with their weary eyes nailed to the ground. We aro not a nation of quitters. We have a big heart as well as big reserves of brain and credit. Let us show tho world how Britain can beat its unemployment enemy as it beat the Germans.
"If tiny New Zealand can give a thank offering .of a million to save our tradeless boys, every rich city and town in this country can go and do likewise. Come on, big business! Comeon, you merchant princes! Follow the Prince!" '
