VICTORIA NYANZA SUGAR.
A point of particular interest for'shareholders of. Victoria Nyanza Sugar Company, Ltd., made at the annual -meeting by the chairman (Mr. S. B. Bagley); is that the directors do not intend to increase, the-.dividend beyond 15 per cent, per annunu They desire to build up a reserve 'of £100,000. Last year's earnings of the company were adversely affected by droughtan Kenya Colony, and dividends for the past year averaged 15 per cent., against 20 per cent, for the previous term. Last accounts showed reserves of only £10,921, compared , with paid capital of £300,000.
