Generally weather, conditions were good fprtlie first'stages of the Army Championship and the Cadet Championship. At 2.30 p.rii. it was ascertained- that the leading scores in the Army Championship were:—J. H. Kearney (Napier), N.Z.P.S., 124; Lance-C'pl. A. E. Symons (Hastings), Ist H.B. Eegiment, 121.

The result of the first stage of the Army Championship and the first stage of the Cadet Championship will be known this afternoon. There are in camp 742 uieii, of whom 551 are competitors. '
