A GENEROUS GIFT

To-day the "Evening Post" received a cheque for £1000 from Mrs. Tom Dwan to assist in the prevention and cure of cancer. Mrs. Dwan has been much impressed with tho message of hope conveyed in the address delivered by Mr. Sampson Handley and the articles published in "The Post" regarding the supreme importance of organised effort by the medical profession aDd the public, and expresses the hope that the gift may be of some assistance to those engaged in such important work for the relief of suffering humanity.

We gladly acknowledge Mrs. Dwan's generous gift, ami shall forward the cheque to tbo trustees of the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign, to be appointed at tonight's meeting.
