RUGBY FOOTBALL
The proposal to form a Rugby football club at Miramar was received with enthusiasm by a large gathering of supporters at Miramar last night. Tliero wore about seventy people present, and they included players of all ages. The interest shown'by the older players was very gratifying to the conveners. Mr. J.. Prendeville, chairman of the Wellington Rugby Union, was present, and supplied the meeting with much advice and information of value.
Oji the motion of Mr. JElohdry, seconded by Mr. M'JPcdrics, it was unanimously decided to form a club. A strong provisional committee was set up to formulate proposals for presentation to the first general meeting, which was fixed for the 18th March.
