SALE OF DAIRY COWS.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report having held a. successful cleariug sale for Mr. C. C. Thomas, Miramar. To a large attendance of the public, they submitted 85 first-class dairy/cows and a number of young stock. Buyers were present from the surrounding districts in Wellington, as well as from the Horowhenua district. The cows were in firstclass condition and a keen sale resulted. A milking plant, sundries, etc., were also sold and a total clearance took place at the following prices:— Dairy cows, £18 10s, £17 15s, £17 10s, £16 10s; £16, £15 10s, £15 ss, £14 15s. £14 10s, £14 ss,v£l4, £13 ss, £13, £12 155,: £12 10s, to prices ranging down to £7. ■ •-. Weaner heifers, £2; 1 gelding, £7; pony, £8, 2s 6d; L.K.G. milking machines and engines complete, £89; milk vat, £5 10s; separator/£5 10s; milk cans, 33s 6d, 28s 6di and 245; Hillside plough, £5 17s 6d; s.f. plough, £4 7s 6d; m.h. mower, £15 ss; and all sundries sold at good prices.-
