WORKING MEN'S CLUB
"Mr. H. E. Crandle has won the first prize in the annual handicap tourney of the Working Men's Club—a handsome gold medal representing a rook, which was donated by Mr. H. Anderson. His score was 12% wins, 2^ losses. The three other prize-winners are J . Lindsay (12-3), G. Walker .(11-4), and H. M Rosenberg (10-5), Messrs. K. Andrews, H Anderson (the donor of tlio trophy), W. Wring and C. T. Edmund 3 were: the best of the twelve competitors who missed the prize-list. Mr. K. Andrews is leading in the tourney tor the chess championship of the club, with Messrs. H. E. Crandle and F. K. Kelline In close attendance. The Junior chess rhampionshlp « the club has been won by Mr. T. Nolan, the other prize-winners being G. Walker (JIH-4%) arid J. Martin (10%-5%). Messrs. H. Anderson and J. H. Turvey are the runners-up.
