HOBABT, 13th February. The special committee consisting of Fedoral and State officials which investigated Tasmania's transport system finds' that there arc great wasto and overlapping, and recommends tho co-or-dination of rail and motor transportation, and tho creation of a transport authority aud a Federal marine authority for control of ports and harbours. It recommends the payment of a subsidy for somo shipping company for the maintenance of proper communication with the rest of Australia.
