TREATMENT RESENTED
RETIRING COURT CLERK

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,
"If I, live for fourteen thousand years I will never forget the callous and brutal treatment meted out to me," said Mr. Michael Foloy, now retiring from the position of chief clerk of the Magistrate's Court, Christchurch, today, when farowellcd by Bench; Bar, and police.
"I was denied promotion, and so lost superannuation; I was retired years before my time. I£ such treatment is to bo tolerated justice and fair play become hollow and meaningless terms."
Various speakers paid tribulcs to ,\[v. Folcy's work, anrl Mr. Henry Holland, M.P., said that Mr. Foley had not had a lair deal.
