LONDON, 24th January. The 'Times" Jerusalem correspondent states that it is officially announced that the locust invasion has reached the vicinity of the Allenby Bridge, where swarms arc circling within a thirteen-miles ■ radius. The TransJordan Anti-Locust Service slew vast quantities, after which the swarms scattered, but reappeared. Villages along the line of the Dead Sea and the Hebron report that new large swarms have settled. The Jericho Trans-Jor-dan and Palestine services have organised a joint campaign. The Jerusalem Field Company is operating thirty-two flame guns, and has partially wiped out a dense swarm eastward of Jericho. Camel patrols are watching the border eastward of Beersheba.
